Overview

The Mayor is the Chief Elected Official and member of the Rockmart City Council, elected by the citizens of Rockmart by majority vote, and serves a four year term. More about the Mayor.

Responsibilities

• Is the Chairman of the City Council and represents the City at other meetings and functions
• Works with the other Council Members to appoint the City Manager, City Clerk, City Attorney, City Auditor, City Court Judge, and various Committees
• Responsible for the execution of City documents
